ABOUT US
The Jackson county animal shelter is a municipal shelter that serves the County of Jackson in Michigan. Our team is dedicated and compassionate about providing care for pets that are awaiting a new home.
JCAS does not euthanize animals for lack of time or space, therefore we can only accept animals for adoption as kennel space allows.
Euthanasia is only an option when recommended by a licensed veterinarian due to a medical condition that can’t be treated and to alleviate animal suffering.
Additionally, animals that pose a danger to the public due to unmanageable aggression will not be adopted out into a new home. JCAS operates on a tax millage and public/private donations to care for the animals of Jackson County.
